IYT DAY SKIPPER / CREW SAIL
Having a desire to progress to commanding keel boats, complete your IYT Day Skipper / Crew Sail - 3-4 days weekend course on our Club's yacht Fareast 28r, after you may rent and command this sailboat or any similar <10m in length. We run this course every month, all year round and combine it with VHF course . Minimum age 16yo.
This is a 3 to 4 day course, depending on wind and conditions, aimed to deliver a safe, informed, confident and competent day sailor/skipper who can confidently command or work as crew on a sailboat up to 10 meters (32.8 feet) during daylight hours in fair conditions in inland waters (bay or lake sailing) or coastal waters up to 5 miles offshore.

- A learn to sail course/certificate

- Command a vessel up to a maximum length of 10 meters (32.8 feet)
- Inland waters (bay or lake sailing) or coastal waters up to 5 miles offshore
- Daylight hours and in fair conditions with moderate wind and sea conditions
